Today i would like to express my opinion about the several Abritrage services which are available on the internet. A friend of this column asked my opinion about an Arbitrage service and driven by his e-mail, i will express my opinion.
My opinion is that i find it rather difficult for someone to make money through arbitrage betting. Yes, if you search over the net, you can find arbitrage opportunities but there are several drawbacks which the services don't mention.
The first is that you must have accounts in many betting companies and you cannot trust most of them. There aren't many trustworthy bookmakers which you can use for arbitrage purposes. If you want to follow an arbitrage service, you must have accounts on some exotic bookmakers.
Another drawback is the return. Ok, how much are you going on to earn average through arbitrage per bet ? Most bets give you 2% - 8% .Is that enough ? How are you going to finance the bet? Through moneybookers? There are limits on the amounts you can trasfer per month. Through Credit Card ? If the bookie doesn't charge you anything , the bank will.
It goes without saying, that you must bet big amounts in order to make money. This bring us to the next drawback, the bet-limit. What are the limits on the bookmakers? Are you going to have the same limits on every bookmaker? Many bookmakers have the tendeny to reduce limits if they track an unsual activity. Therefore are you sure you are going to take full advantage of an arbitrage service ?
If you think that you can overcome these obstacles, then how are you going to deal with the fact that arbitrage opportunities are fading very quickly ? You see, many services have more than two - three clients and many punters receive their notification at the same time. Who is going to take advantage of the opportunity first ? It goes without saying that you have to be online all the time, waiting for the notification.
When the bookmaker sees that bigs bets are being made on a certain selection, it will automatically reduce the odds. Furthermore, the first people who will take advantage of the arbitrage opportunity are the owners of the arbitrage services themselves!
As you can see, i gave you some reasons NOT to follow any arbitrage service. The default risk (to use an economical term) is greater than the alleged return.
I am sure you can find other reasons yourself.
Also stay away from companies which they offer you the option of investing your money and giving you a "guaranteed" profit for return using arbitrage methods. We are either talking about fraud services or money laundering. Most of them are just frauds, they give you the guaranteed return for a short period and they disappear with your money when you increase your investment.

Soccer Betting

Today, i found some spare time and i will state my opinon about the "Soccer Betting" e-book written by Peter Norum.
As the title states, this e-book deals with soccer. It includes several techniques (trading wise or not), predicting the match winner, some over/under bets, the wellknow "lay the draw" technique and a correct score system.
It's not a big e-book, actually is rather small, around 15 pages! The strategies are not well written and doesn't support his arguments with real life examples.
It's rather a basic e-book which can be a starting point for a newbie to get involved with bet trading and soccer punting but if i had to pay for it, i would feel a little bit stupid.
The writter used to have a website where he used to sell his e-book but now you can purchase it by sending him an e-mail at norumpeter@yahoo.com . The e-book costs 60 Euros !

To Pay or not to pay for a pick/service ?
That's a question that many punters make and i believe that the answer is quite simple. All you have to do is to create a decision tree and answer to some simple questions .

- Do i have enough time to search for informations and news ?
- Are my sources reliable ?
- Can i afford to be a member of a site which offers picks ?
- Are their results reliable ?
- Can i trust sites which offer tips for free ?
If you make a good living out of your own predictions or you have enough time to search the net for news, private information etc, then you don't need such a service.
On the other hand, if you don't have enough time or your predictions are not that good, then you should be very careful when choosing the right service .
I believe that 85% of the available services are fraud-sites which aim to take your money. They alter their results anyway they like while claiming extraordinary profits.
You also be very careful when you "follow" a site which offers free picks. They seem quite innocent but they are not. They also alter their results (if they have any) simply because good results bring more traffic which leads to an increase on affiliate sales (from bookmakers).
Sometimes these sites are being created by bookmakers (through other people) just to make bet on the wrong selection!
If you want to have some piece of mind that you "follow" an honest service (even if its free) , you should check whether or not this site is being monitored by at least one independent result verification service .
YOU SHOULD NOT TRUST A SITE WHICH IS NOT BEING MONITORED BY SUCH SERVICE.
A service which accepts to be monitored, means that they have genuine results, they are an honest site. In other words, what you see is what you get. Plain and simple.

Another e-book concerning bet trading on the horse racing market. The "How To Profit From Bet-Trading" e-book comes from Probettrader (www.probettrader.com).
As i said the e-book is about bet-trading on the horse racing market. The e-book is divided into three (3) chapters (excluding introduction/conclusion). The first deals with the main characteristics of the horse racing market and defines some paremeters which you will have to "use" during the process of bet trading.

Ok, today i am going to post my first review on a bookmaker. The Bookmaker is BETSENSE.

Betsense is a UK based bookmaker which is synonymous to realibility. Is owned by Be-Emotions Ltd and their offices are placed in London-UK.
Variety Of Bets / Odds
They offer a fair variety of bets, european and US Sports. Their odds are average and their bets include singles, multibets and they also offer virtual matches. One feature which i haven't found in many bookies and you can find it here is the option to cancel a bet for a fee.
Deposit/Withdraw Option - Customer Services
Like any other UK based bookmaker, they offer a variety of deposit/withdraw options such as Credit Cards,Debit Card etc without charging any fees.
Seems a good bookie but the problems start when you want to withdraw money. There are many complains about slow payments and lack of customer service. When you finally manage to get in touch with them, they make some silly excuses for not sending the money.
I haven't betted on Betsense for quite a while due to the fact that it took me more than 40 days to withdraw 2.500 GBPs. I would skip that Bookmaker.

This time i am going to tell you my opinion about a website which can be of great help for those who bet or trade on Major League Baseball.
The ProTrade Live is very easy to use and its information can be proved very valuable. The site was created by Mike Kerns and Jeff Ma both know for their investing activities.

WARNING: BetfairXPoker.com
Hello friends,
Today i am not going to make a review on a e-book but i am going to issue a warning on the site http://www.betfairxpoker.com/ .
I haven't tested their e-book but all i can say that i wouldn't trust them! The reason is simple, the screenshots are FAKE. Just check the above pictures. As you can see they say that they are an honest site and the games on picture I are examples of games that they have won money !!!!!!!
Ofcourse someone which has betted on Betfair even 3 or 4 times knows that the ">>" sign is used to show the "What If" option (what would happen if i have betted money on) and not an actual bet.
This picture was on their site until yesterday and it was magically removed and replaced by picture II. The reason was that their fraud was discovered on a "make money" forum.
I suggest that you stay away from this site. My opinion is based on their dishonest site and not on their e-book (which i haven't read). But would you buy an e-book from a dishonest site ????

Socabet
The Socabet e-book deals with soccer trading and was written by Steven Lee Jones.
Socabet is a soccer trading system. According to his author, it promise you a guaranteed second income for 10 minutes work ! Let's find out if is telling the truth..........
The Socabet is a 50 pages e-book which includes a quite big introduction-how to use betfair (about 25 pages!!!!) and 6 trading methods.
The introduction and the how to use Betfair guide are pretty well written and will help someone who hasn't dealt with Betfair before. The trading methods are a different matter alltogether.
The are simple in-play strategies in the sense that, for example, you should back the favourite and if it scores sell it to make a profit. Nothing more, nothing less.
The Socabet manual is an e-book for those who haven't logged into Betfair before and the trading methods don't add anything new.
If search on the internet, you can find similar guides for free.

The Layers Edge
This time we are going to deal with an e-book which will interest layers of british horse racing. This e-book comes for free and is written by Tony.
It's a small e-book (15 pages) and as the author explains on his introduction, he has created a system which aims on long term profits based on historical data.
Mr. Tony tries to identify which 2nd favourite is going to lose through some rules which try filter out the winners. The e-book also comes with a staking plan which you can use in accordance with the system.
The system has its ups and downs but its quite easy to use. One thing i liked is that tries to lay horses with relative small odds (less than 9/2) in comparison to other system which lay horses above 9/1.
Am i going to make money out of it ?
Probably yes. I've made a small return on long term but had some long winning and losing streaks.
Overall, it's not a bad e-book and it's free. So give it a try even on paper laying.

Trading On Sports
Today i am going to review another e-book from Probettrader, called Trading On Sports which has been written by Ilias Stamatelos.
This 70 pages e-book is about trading on sports and in particular on soccer, criket, tennis and 4 other sports. Furthermore, there is a chapter about the proper preparation prior to bet trading. IMO, this is an important chapter which i haven't seen in many e-books.
Most of the e-book (about 25 pages) deals with soccer trading. You can find trading techniques about in-play trading but most important how we can trade prior to the event's start. In other words, they try to explain how we can predict whether the price of a team will drop or not!!! The same goes for the rest of the sports.
The Trading On Sports e-book is very good e-book which for sure stands out of the soccer system pack that there is out there. Ok, it could be cheaper, but it does deliver!!!!

It's an e-book explaining a system which can promise you great return from soccer betting and in particular english soccer betting.
On the 20 pages e-book, you can find his methodology which is divided into 3 sections where you pick team(s) using a particular point system and then filter you choices to come up with a handful of games.
Does it work?
The system is quite simple, although you need to keep track of teams' performance. The success rate varies from league to league and the system has many ups and downs. You can profit from the system if you are in the right trend but should not be used as the main decision factor.

There are two kinds of membership, the PROs and the BANKs. If you register to one of these, you will receive his daily picks from the British Horse races. If you check his records, you will see that they are quite good and you will make constant profit day in - day out.
I've tested his service using 2 trials memberships. In the first i've made a small profit but on my second try, the results were almost catastrophic! Ofcourse, you can't make your conclusions from just two trials, but you make conclusions from the fact that the results were altered and presented profit each time !!!!!!
In other words, seems like a scamm site. If you surf into the net, you will find familiar views.
Right now, you can't register your membership because they have reached the maximum number of members but you can get a trial membership just by buying his software called Sure2profit Calculator PRO 1.8 .

Winning Secrets
I've been on vacations for quite a while and haven't posted an article for 30 days! I am going to reply to your messages in the next 2-3 days. Now let's move on with our review.
Today, i am going to review an e-book called "Winning Secrets" which is being written by the owners of http://www.wackywagers.co.uk/ .
So what's all about ?
"Winning Secrets" is a collection of 23 (!) horse racing systems, each one explained on a single page. The writers get straight to the point without much "blah blah" and the strategies are well explained.
That's a lot of strategies... Do they really work ?
Yes there are a lot of strategies on the e-book but i don't believe that all are winning strategies. Some of them have exotic names (i.e. The assassin method), others require extensive work and their success rate vary.

X-Poker and Card Trader
This review is an e-book and service review. This e-book comes from a team of traders called PROBETTRADER.
X-POKER

The "X-Poker" e-book is their 4th (!!!!) e-book and is written by Panayiotis Chaidemenos and Jake Barry.
This e-book deals with the Betfair Exchange Games and in particular with Texas Hold Em.
There are 4+1 strategies to choose from, all backed with statistical evidence and a guide on how to double your investment in seven days!!! All this wrapped up in 50 pages.
The strategies are well defined with examples and you can use them, even if you don't have prior experience from Texas Hold Em, since there is a chapter which explains the rules.
The strategies will bring you the profit they promise and yes i do recommend this e-book . The only thing that i didn't like was their guide which will help you double your money since it's summed up quite quickly.
If you want an e-book about Betfair's Texas Hold-Em, then you should buy it.
The Card Trader

The Card Trader is a service offered by Probettrader and in particular from the writer of their "X-Poker" ebook, Panayiotis Chaidemenos (he is Greek).
If someone doesn't have the proper time to read the e-book or doesn't want to learn to play Texas Hold Em, then he can let Card Trader do the trading for him !!!!
The Card Trader takes hold of his client Betfair account for about an hour and gives a profit between 30% and 50% .
The service is being around for more than 1 month and his results are quite impressive. A Friend of mine is being using the service for quite a while and is very satisfied. I've only had one session (1st August), invested 800 GBP and got around 35% return.
He has some losses (less than 10%) but in that case he offers free session to recover the loss.
I recommend that you'll give a try (a couple of sessions)

Do you know the "Betfair Exchange Games" ?
Well, this e-book will give you some strategies to try and beat the Betfair's exchange games.
On this e-book, you can find 6 straegies for the following exchange games :
- Baccarat
- Texas Hold Em
- Blackjack
plus a 6-page staking plan.
His strategies based on observation with the help of the martinagle system and his staking plan. In other words, you observe the game until you find the appropriate conditions to bet.
On average, his strategies seems profitable but their risk is greater than their return.

Well this is my first review on this blog.
This e-book is called "How To Become A Professional Betting Exchange Trader" and is written by David J. Walton.
On this e-book, you can find trading techniques about Horse Racing, Soccer, Cricket, Golf and Rugby League and Union. The strategies include Two-Way Trading, External Trading, Ramping and Low-Risk trading, all wrapped in 50 pages.
I was quite dissapointed with the level of information found in the e-book. It's on a very basic level and doesn't tell you much about bet-trading techniques which you can use. It tells you what to do if a particular event happens and nothing more.
If you are a newbie in bet-trading, then this e-book can help you understand the basics but do you have to pay 115 GBP for that ? NO.
You can find better e-books in the market, some for free.
If you have some experience on bet-trading, then better avoid this e-book. It won't add anything.
As for his site, i will review it in the future.
